Hastey Hastey - 'awe inspiring' :) five stars

9:23 , On my Desk at Home

Last evening I saw a flick Hastey Hastey and what an inspiration.

It inspired me to walk out of the hall before the interval even after I had paid 100 bucks to watch it, the comfy seats, A/C and the popcorn being no incentive (A first for me!)

It made me come back home at 11:00 pm and still sit down to work for a couple of hours- something which no amount of counselling and performance appraisal had acheived so far .

It gave me such nightmares that I was up at 8:00 am and ready to work!

and to top it all it gave me the motivation to blog first thing in the morning

Must watch for all lazy bums like me...half way through the movie and beleive me the ultimate realization would dawn upon you that what a waste of sheer waste of time! With every minute passing like an hour , it teaches you about time management better than any of those 'self development books'.

Infact I am planning to buy a DVD, just to ensure that the very thought of watching it would be deterrent enough for me to work!

Drifting: My Destiny?

I have lived my professional life like a drifter - four jobs in three years in four different cities and not mention my 6 month hiatus in between.

Three months in my fourth job and the vagabond in me is already carving for a change. This makes me wonder

Do I make bad career moves ? Is My tolerance level zilch ? Am I looking for the unattainable 'perfect job'?

Or should I just except that drifting is my Destiny and Seat back and enjoy the ride!

Illogical Logic

My brain has always been immune to logical understanding especially the stereotypical logical analysis types. Where if A is bigger than B , b is biger than C than C has to be smaller than A.Going by this logic West Indies lost to India, India lost to Bangladesh. Then does that make Bangladesh a stronger team than India & West Indies.

Logic it self is based on a fallacy - if everything else remains constant ...but I cant recall a single incident in life when 'everything else has remained constant ' .

The irony is that this illogica logic is more than often used to judge a person's IQ & ability.

whatsay people?

expecting brickbats from the logical and bouquets from the illogical

Cricket : the curse of Farmers

I attended a workshop on what ails agriculture & farmer suicides. The entire day experts discussed & debated about the root cause of farmers problem ranging from free trade agreements with ASEAN to Agriculture out of WTO , reducing tarrif lines to amber box subsidies.

However, what stayed with me was this :

When Sharad Pawar was asked how serious is the problem with agriculture? the 'honarable' minister replied : "It is so grim that I cannot be the ICC President for the coming year"

I think thats the problem that ails agriculrure today. The person in charge is more concerned with 15 odd men in blue than half a billion people toiling in the fields.

and look what wonders he has done to them : the men in blue surrendered to minnows bangladesh. I wish the politicians did limit themselves to what best they do : Nothing
